To Screen Enclose or Not?
Screen Enclosure or Not?
Debating whether or not a screen enclosure is right for you?
Here are some things to consider, both pros and cons:
Mosquitos: yes, a screen enclosure will help keep those pesky bugs out of your swimming pool area, but it’s not fool proof.
There are options like a gas powered bug-repeller, sold at Home Depot or Lowe’s, fairly inexpensive and customers have said they have great luck with it.
Kids: Ah, yes, kids. If you have active kids that are kicking around soccer balls, hitting baseballs or jumping from swingsets, you might want to reconsider a screen enclosure. The bottom of the screen enclosure is usually screening material. This is easily busted out by those kiddos!
The option to this, if you are dead set on an enclosure, is to get a kick-plate around the entire area of the screen enclosure around your swimming pool.
Having a screen enclosure around your swimming pool is ideal for keeping your pool at about a temperature of 10* lower than that of those without one. During the summer, it’s sure nice to have that pool at a perfect temperature!
